some of my recent acquisitions

i have been a fan of beach boys for practically all my life, but i've never sat down and just listened to this album in its entirety. i was really excited to find it at an estate sale. i listened to it the second i got home, and i have to say almost every song is a hit for me. i love the unreleased background track. their harmonies give me goosebumps!

this week we're on vacation in a town we have been going for many years, and there's a lovely thrift store that i've gotten so many wonderful things over the years. so of course, i made a trip to the thrift store. but this time around, i have to say, it was hard to find anything that really spoke to me. no real hidden gems for me today. and that's okay. i just kept thinking, "recession indicator" everywhere. everyone is holding on to their stuff. or the good stuff gets swiped quickly. tbf, i went to the thrift store about an hour before closing time and it was the first day of the week that it was open, so it's likely many people came and found things well before i got there.
